Rick Aguar
RICK AGUAR is an adept cinematographer who creates visually appealing films on subjects from bees to whales. His environmental work includes saving endangered species, good stewardship practices, environmental ethics, water and air quality, biodiversity, and preserving “sense of place. These productions have had a positive local, national and international impact.
Highlights of his extensive career, which spans over twenty years in film and video, include: directing top ten music videos for bands like R.E.M., the B-52’s and Widespread Panic; producing a prime time special in the Atlanta market; and filming (Director of Photography for) hundreds of programs shown in the U.S. and abroad. He has independently created and produced original award-winning environmental education programs that are currently being used in elementary and middle school classrooms. And he has had extensive experience in the production and direction of documentary films for broadcast, home video sales, and educational use.
Rick was central to co-producing, filming and editing The Honeybee Fly Around Song children’s music DVD for The Honeybee Project and is in the Project’s weave of children’s honeybee multi-BEE-media.
