OUR PARTNER

The North Carolina Arboretum (TNCA), an affiliate of the North Carolina University system, is our valued partner. John Andrew Bubany, Manager of Exhibition Programs – TNCA, is spearheading the design and development of a museum exhibition that will premiere in their new Baker Exhibit Center, then tour the world for eight to ten years.
TNCA’s Baker Exhibit Center incorporates three very distinct learning environments that support the work of The Honeybee Project: a museum exhibition hall designed to host museum exhibits, a 1000 square foot greenhouse, and a garden space designed to hold exhibit components.
Julie Vidotto, Curator of Education – TNCA, shares that TNCA has a growing youth science education curriculum that is based upon the NC State Standard Course of Study and that The Honeybee Project offers support in building their programming around one of the most vital of our natural systems – pollination: “Plant and insect science exhibit topics are our first priority — and a partnership with The Honeybee Project would promote the exploration of the content for development of a significant science education exhibit that would travel across the country.”
